In June 2016 Maya Dvash was appointed Acting Chief Curator of Design Museum Holon, in parallel with her position as the Museum’s Editor-in-Chief, in which she has served for the past six years. Over the years she has curated and written about design on diverse platforms. After serving as editor-in-chief of a number of leading publishing houses in Israel (Kinneret, Zmora-Bitan, and Modan), Dvash was appointed editor-in-chief of Binyan VeDiyur magazine and served in this position for six years. Concurrently with her work as an editor, curator, and writer, Dvash has also taught in the leading design academies in Israel, and currently teaches curatorship and writing in the Masters program at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
Dvash holds a BA in literature (1974) and a MA in art and curatorship studies from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (2016). She holds a diploma in editing from Bar-Ilan University (1986) and in journalism from the University of Singapore (1978).
