German Dance in the 20th Century, between Mary Wigman and Pina Bausch

Yael Oppenhaim is a fourth year student at the Department of Architecture," Bezale"l, Academy of arts and design, Jerusalem. She graduated "Blich" High school, Ramat-Gan, majoring in dance. After her military service in the Education Corps she joined "Aluminum" dance group, a unique dance group making use of aluminum pipes while incorporating them as rhythmic and movement elements. After 3 years of touring with the group, she started studying at Bezalel. Today she is a student at "Parsons"- the new school for design, NY, as a part of the students exchange program, and is scheduled to graduate "Bezalel" next year (2011).
