Avshalom C. Elitzur has earned his Ph.D. in relativity theory and quantum mechanics in Tel-Aviv University under the guidance of Yakir Aharonov, and served as lecturer and visiting professor in several universities in Israel and abroad. Shahar Dolev has earned his Ph.D. in quantum mechanics in Bar-Ilan University under the guidance of Avshalom Elitzur, and post-doctoral works in The Hebrew and Haifa Universities. Both, together with a group of scientists from various universities in Israel, are among the founders of “Iyar, The Israeli Institute for Advanced Research” aimed at promoting theoretical research in Israel.
