Joseph Beuys as Healing Medium in 1970's Israeli Art

Kobi Ben-Meir Masters thesis on "Images of Pain, Disease, and Death in Israel Art of the 1970s," has been awarded the Hebrew University's 2009 Polonsky Prize for Creativity and Originality in the Humanities. Kobi and is now working on his Doctoral thesis on the subject of "Apocalyptic Images in Contemporary Art" in The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is an associate curator in the Youth Wing in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
