Futurism: The Meeting of East and the West

Igor Aronov received his M.A. in art history from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, Russia, and his Ph.D. in the history of modern art from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He teaches in the Department of History and Theory of Arts at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem. He is the author of Kandinsky's Quest: A Study in the Artist's Personal Symbolism (New York: Peter Lang, 2006) and Kandinsky: The Origins (Moscow & Jerusalem: The Bridges of Culture, 2010). He has published in professional journals on Russian avant-garde art.
